How it works.

Our vacuum coaters all work on the same principal. The coater head is the component which applies the paint to the part. It is filled with paint supplied from a reservoir by a pump. Mounted on either side of the coater head is an entrance and exit template. The templates have openings cut-out of them in the shape of the part being painted. The part is being fed into and out of these openings by conveyors located on the entrance and exit side of the coater head. The system is under vacuum pressure which serves several critical functions. It keeps the paint from coming out of the template openings. It strips excess paint off the part as it comes out of the exit template. It also controls the amount of paint being applied to the part. Paint thickness is adjusted by increasing or decreasing vacuum pressure. Paint can be applied from 1/2 mil to 1 mil +.
